English immigration to america in the 1920's

In the 1920's, Tens of millions of immigrants came to America. A lot of immigrants from england came in the first of three major waves, of immigration, in the period from 1820-1920. The factors that pulled the immigrants to America were Opportunity and Religious freedom. They could live and be free away from the horrible kings and queens in England.
They were pushed because they were all trying to get away from their king. Also a lot of them left due to overpopulation in england. A lot of people lost jobs, in the industrilization Revolution so they went to get their jos where they were needed. The majority of the immigrants settled in the 13 colonies also known as the Northern States. Most immigrants became machinists, farmers, miners and they worked in textile factories.
